RESTORATION PROGRESS
Only a fraction of the site structures exist from the resorts hey days.
Below is a site plan representing non-native plants brought to the site before 2003. Many of the structures shown as dashed lines no longer exist.
MINNESOTA CABIN
Foundations for the cabin were rebuilt in 2015. Volunteers stabilized the roof and are currently reframing one exterior wall which has been structural compromised after a century of door & window modifications.
PENNSYLVANIA AND OHIO CABIN ROOF
Temporary roofing of the cabins was done in 2014 to prevent further deterioration. Thanks to the generosity of volunteers from HistoryCorp, the structures received a permanent roof in October 2016
TEXAS CABIN
A new foundation and shell restoration of the cabin was completed in 2015. The project was funded by a grant from the California State Department of Historic Preservation, and the Monterey District of California Department of Parks and Recreation. A septic system adjacent to the cabin was installed in 2016.
HOT SPRING MINERAL WELL
The well restoration and concrete cap was completed in 2014. Temperature of mineral water ranges from 95F to 106F in recent years.
NEBRASKA CABIN
Removal of dirt against structure and a new roof for the cabin was completed in 2014.
